Random Jottings of Hinge & Bracket S01E01: The Blenkinsop Bequest 04/04/1982 (Part 3 of 3) Broadcast on BBC Radio 2 over nine series between 1982 and 1989, The Random Jottings of Hinge & Bracket starred George Logan as Dr Evadne Hinge and Patrick Fyffe as Dame Hilda Bracket. Hinge and Bracket made their first appearance in 1974 at the Edinburgh Festival. They toured their double act for years before appearing on the radio. Their first radio series, The Enchanting World of Hinge and Bracket, ran on BBC Radio 4 for three series from 1977 to 1979.
